One year on, has it made a difference
The Health and Safety at Work Act came into force exactly one year ago today and I have definitely seen an increase in discussion around health and safety from the businesses and
workers I come into contact with on a daily basis. Some positive and some negative which is exactly what I expected, although ultimately we would like to see the positive prevail.
"Safeguard magazine’s second annual State of the Nation survey shows 78% of respondents believe health and safety is taken seriously, a double-digit increase from the 67% who felt the same way last year".
I would be keen to know from businesses how the new legislation has impacted on you and your workers. Have you embraced change or do you find it a challenge?
